2022 Season Wraps Up

And just like that, the 2022 hockey season comes to an end.

This year we had six senior teams, two youth teams and ten junior teams registered in the Auckland Hockey competition.

It was fantastic to see a number of Senior and Youth teams playing off for championships and plates over the recent finals weekends.

Congratulations to the Division One Men for securing the plate and to the Division Two Women and Youth Boys for finishing as runners up in their league.

The Division One Men played Somerville B in the plate final, winning with a score of 5-0.

The Division Two Women played Waitakere in the Championship final, with the full-time score being a draw. Unfortunately, the women were unable to secure the win in the penalty shoot-out. The women finish as runners up in their competition. Despite this, the ladies have been offered promotion to Division One and are pleased to be moving up next season.

The Youth Boys played Somerville Torkington in the Championship final. Unfortunately, the boys were unable to secure the result they would have liked to, with the final score 4-1 to Somerville. The Youth Boys finish as runners up.

Well done to all players and teams for their participation in the 2022 Winter hockey season!
