COVID-19: Level 2 Update

Hello AISC club members, families and supporters,

We hope you’ve all coped well with the events that have unfolded over the last few months, we understand this can be a challenging time.

We are pleased to advise the Club season is preparing to start the weekend of:

  • 6th June For Intercity Premiers

  • 13th June For all Senior teams

  • 19th - 21st June For Juniors and Youth

Please see attachment re: AISC Health and Safety Covid-19 Guidelines.

Trainings

Seniors - Will commence the week of 2nd June at Avondale College. Managers to post to their respective teams. See Training Schedule attached

Epsom Girls Grammar will be open from the week of the 2nd June as well.

Juniors – Training will commence from the week beginning Monday 8th June at the usual times for all grades. We are however still waiting for Avondale college to confirm access to the gym but are hopeful this will be confirmed next week.

Hygiene

• We are now able to gather in groups of no more than one hundred at one venue.

• Team coaches and managers will be asked to manage attendance list at team trainings.

• Changing rooms and dug-outs are out of bounds unless they can be thoroughly cleaned between uses.

• Anyone showing signs of flu like symptoms are advised to stay home.

• All participants will need to declare if they have come back from overseas in the last two weeks, or have been exposed to Covid-19 or a cluster. Whether these people can participate will need to be an Executive decision, as asymptomatic carriers pose the biggest risk to teams.

• All equipment, including balls and hockey sticks need to be cleaned before and after use:

• Goals to be left as is.

• Water bottles cannot be shared.

• No sharing of protective equipment and no bibs to be used.

• The club has purchased hand sanitiser for each team which the coach will administer.

Please be safe and practice good hygiene before you arrive and after you leave the practice facilities.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

We hope to see you back on the field soon.

Thank you for your continued support.

Take care and kind regards,

Raj Pancha
