AISC Jubilee Book

Members, players and supporters of Auckland Indian Sports Club. Our Jubilee book that was due in 2011 (our 75th year) has now drawn out to 2021 (85yrs.). Yes it has taken an extra 10 years, but there is a flicker of light we can see at the end of the tunnel.

THE REASONS BEING:

The requested information for the Jubilee book took longer than expected : as committee members had other family /work commitments also through a lack of professional /authoritative input.

It has been an enormous task ,not only to write up information, arrange hundreds of photos, interview people to record events relying on past members’ sketchy memories, but more importantly to seek funding for the cost of publishing this work.

NOW at this stage the committee has been fortunate to have had good enough success, mainly through mailing requests and asking members and friends to help fund the cost of printing/publishing. We at this moment in time are pleased to announce that we have raised a total near the amount required for pursuing our goal to publish this important historical work. We will still need further monetary help to complete the publishing payment of $45,000 +GST.

We have the utmost pleasure and respect to the following people who have helped

with funding this project and making it possible. ALL THEIR NAMES WILL BE

PUBLISHED IN THE BOOK.
